St John Lutheran Church, Calgary, AB, is located in an aging community of the city presently being revitalized and redeveloped. We are a traditional Lutheran congregation moving into contemporary blended worship. We have an active choir, ELW. We also have a model railroad club in our church. Three Gamblers Anonymous groups, four Alcoholics Anonymous groups meet in our facility. Aboriginal Workshops, Girls Camps sponsored by the Women's shelter.
A nursery is available downstairs.

Recognizing the call of God upon our lives, we the members of St. John Lutheran Church, pledge to: reach other people with the message of Jesus Christ by baptizing and teaching them, and calling them on God's behalf to join us in a life of worship, service and active dicipleship, so that people everywhere come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
