Redeemer is located in Brandon, a city of 46,000, and we are a family oriented congregation. Our members range from people that have been here since the church started nearly 50 years ago, to people who are relatively new and come from various faith backgrounds. We have a history of being noted for our Fall Suppers and Shrove Tuesday Pancake Suppers. We are a community-minded church and have several different groups that share our facilities. We have been a host site for the Brandon Festival for the Arts, and we are a proud home to 18th Brandon Scouting -Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts. We host several community groups for various events, including Brandon Community Builders Inc. and the Linus Project, and we have close ties to Linden Lanes School. We work with many other churches in Brandon through our involvement with the Brandon Ministerial Association (BMA) and take part in several multi-denominational services and events held each year. We share our building with St. Mina and St. Antony Coptic Orthodox Church. Our most active group is our Redeemer Lutheran Ladies (RLL) and several of our ladies are involved in synodical events. An active choir led and accompanied by 2 university students meets weekly. We have a seasonal quilters group that makes between 40-80 quilts each year for Canadian Lutheran World Relief and local organizations. Our weekly Tuesday night and monthly women's bible studies keep us in the Word. We are making steps to be a green congregation thanks to our geothermal heating and cooling system. Our building is fully accessible, including exterior ramps and walks, an elevator, barrier-free washrooms, assistive listening devices, and worship services are projected at the front of the sanctuary. We regularly collect food for those in need, and support our local charities. We are currently using the Evangelical Lutheran Worship hymnal.
Sunday 10:00AM Holy Communion is celebrated on the 2nd & 4th Sundays of each month, on all feast days, and each Sunday during the season of Easter
