We are a small, but enthusiastic congregation with an eye to serving the large church. There are members who volunteer with Lutheran Institutional Ministries of Edmonton (LIME, and other functions within the larger church. We have a very talented musical director who plans a variety of services (traditional, contemporary, etc.) using a variety of liturgies to meet the needs of our diverse congregation. The first Sunday of the month is contemporary in style, the second Sunday is Setting 5 from the WOV or Now the Feast (Marty Haugen), the third Sunday alternates between the Service of the Word and Prayer from the WOV or Setting 1/2 Non-Communion from the LBW, and the fourth Sunday of the month is Setting 1 or 2 with Communion from the LBW.
We have a cry room at the back of the sanctuary with sound piped in. A large window provides a view of the sanctuary.
Yes
We are people bonded together in the Spirit of Chirst. Recognizing by faith the gifts of grace in ourselves and our community, together we work, under the example of Christ, as understood by the Lutheran teachings and traditions, to nurture the development of these gifts for service to the church and the world. As the Spirit of Christ encourages us to be the people of God in this place, we encourage each other.
