Trinity Church is located off Highway 7, between Kitchener and Stratford, in the Village of New Hamburg, part of the Regional Municipality of Waterloo. Upon reaching New Hamburg from Highway 7 (between Kitchener and Stratford) turn North onto Peel Street and take the second left onto Church Street.
The people of Trinity are gathered as one of about 14 congregations in the Nith Valley Ministry Area of the ELCIC's Eastern Synod. Our community seeks to embrace all of God's people in Christ's name. We further seek to foster a climate of inclusion and of warm relations with people of neighbouring faith communities. Founded in 1834, Trinity is one of many churches in a community which includes Mennonites, Roman Catholics, Anglicans, Uniteds and others. The community of New Hamburg was born in the early 19th Century around a grist mill and has flourished as a small centre of commerce and industry ever since. The population of New Hamburg is about 7900 in a township of about 19,500. The cities of Kitchener and Waterloo are some 15 minutes away while the cities of Toronto and London are about an hour away. Trinity Church offers a broad range of parish ministry in the congregation proper and beyond. As well, Trinity is home to a large number of community-based programs including a counselling centre and community day care program. Trinity maintains a comprehensive website at www.telc.ca where a word of welcome, copies of our parish newsletter and much more are available.
Sunday 9:30 am Holy Communion - a lively service with organ, piano, handbells, drums, and a fine choir, wherein people of all ages find a home.
