Corner of 1st Ave S & 5th St SE, Chesley
St Mark's is a small, stable parish in a small, stable town. After two years of soul searching, our congregation carefully and prayerfully decided we could no longer afford a full time pastor. An extended intentional interim period has brought us renewed vitality as a congregation in mission for others, enthusiastically led by our pastor, an Anglican priest. About a third of our regular Sunday worshipping community of 55 is children under the age of 14, for whom we recently established a Godly Play programme. In all, we are a happy and devout, forward-looking Christian community that worships the triune God richly and generously.
Sundays September through June, 11AM, Eucharist or Ante-Communion; Sundays July and August, 10.30AM, informal Eucharist and Teaching. Public daily prayer (morning, noon, evening) most weekdays. Monthly healing service.
Godly Play and Nursery (Sept - June); nursery in the summer (July and August)
We inhabit a traditional historic building; what we presently lack we make up in willing hands and arms, and state-of-the-art audio and visual technologies.
